My family has had a tradition for decades of shaking dice in what we call "the greedy game." (Roll the dice and take away a gift from someone else, if you roll a one or a six) I love this idea of keeping dice contained in the box. We used to all sit on the floor, and it didn;'t matter if dice went under furniture, etc. - our knees were not a problem until recent years. We're all older now and prefer to sit at a table and roll the dice in a container, so we don't have to scurry to catch dice that get away.
